Born and raised in Venezuela, Vanessa Guillen Matheus is a New York-based freelance culture reporter and storyteller whose writing has been published in NBC News, and she has worked as a social media producer for NBC News Latino.
Before moving to NYC to pursue her Master in Media Studies and Media Management, Vanessa worked as a film correspondent and producer in Miami, as well as for Guillen Pujol CPAs, a CPA and business consulting firm founded and led by her father, Nestor Guillen, for whom she enjoys and continues to work remotely. In addition, Vanessa studied long-form Improv at the 'Villain Theater,' the acclaimed home for Chicago-style Improv Comedy in Miami.
Something to know about Vanessa is that if she could marry pasta, she totally would, but since pasta has commitment issues, she decided that her husband Rodrigo was a safer bet.
